Background
Vibgyor Group of Schools is one of the leading chain of schools in India. 'Novella' is an initiative by the school to encourage children to put on their imaginary hats and pen down short stories. A few of these would then be published under a collection of  25 short stories written by children for the children. The book was published in association with Crossword Bookstore.

The brief
The brief was to have a blend of the key elements from the stories, with element of each story seamlessly integrated into the design.

Process
This was a collaborative project between Shreya and me. We first began by reading all the wonderful short stories written by the children and made a note of key elements from different stories. Based on that, we made rough sketches to lay out our compositions to fit the narrative. We finally arrived at two routes which are shown below. The first one was picked to be the solid route.

Route 1.
This route is an amalgamation of the stories in a single composition. The interaction of characters and elements from different stories creates a bespoke theme, giving the reader just enough curiosity to explore the world of ‘Novella’.

Route 2.
This route consists of a set of snippets as imagined from multiple stories. This option lets the reader peek into the stories at a glance.
